Joy in the Midst of Chaos

there seems to be only one word to describe the outward appearance of our home right now…chaos!  we have cleared out one of the kids’ bedrooms to prep & paint for the 3 girls!!!  poor daniel is sleeping on a twin mattress in the living room floor. his dresser is in the hall, along with his shoes.  our bedroom has daniel’s entertainment shelf in the middle of the floor, along with the desk we just bought!  next we will prep the other kids’ room for the 2 boys!!  our family is growing by 2…we are in the process of adopting a boy and girl!  so even though this has created some chaos, we have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams with the outpouring of love, prayer support, and generous gifts. it has been an humbling experience to see God at work through all of this.  over and over He continues to confirm our decision to step out in faith and take in these children. many times since Feb. 14th (the day we first got the call about the 2 children) Jesus has spoken to my heart with the following passage… “…let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author & perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1b-2
